West Drayton couple raise £1,400

MICHELLE Penfold Moore and her husband Vinny Moore raised £1,400 at an Open House fundraiser in Kings Road, West Drayton, for the Meningitus Trust.

Mrs Moore's 14-month-old son Luke, died suddenly of the disease in August 2006.

She has since raised more than £10,000 for the charity.

A team from 1381 (West Drayton) Sqn represented Middlesex Wing and the
Borough of Hillingdon in the recent London Youth Games at Crystal Palace.

The team had worked hard to develop their shooting and
under the guidance of team coach, CI Simeon Keenan, aimed to "wipe the
board" in the archery field.

Though they didn't actually win outright, they were awarded a very creditable 14th overall. The team were pleased to receive the honorary title of "Best in the West" from their colleagues in
West Drayton Squadron.

Coach Keenan was unstinting in his praise for the team's achievement: "Watch this space" he declared. "This is just the beginning!"
