A JEALOUS boyfriend who pulled a fake gun on his partner's ex has been jailed for two years.

John Michael Mullally, 31, of Mulberry Parade, West Drayton was sentenced at Reading Crown Court last month (18/2) after being found guilty of making threats to kill using a firearm.

He committed the offence last March after driving his girlfriend to the home of her ex-partner in Langley, Berskhire to collect her property.

He become angry at the amount of time she was spending inside the house and pulled a gun from his belt pointing it at the window.

The weapon was later found to be an imitation firearm.

DC Richard Jarvis said: "This was a serious offence that caused fear to the victim and other residents at the address, the use of firearms will not be tolerated."

A MAN who failed to return to work in Uxbridge after a holiday is still listed as missing.

Nigel Griffiths, 43, is known to stay in the West Drayton area regularly and has not been seen for over a week.

He was due to return to work last Thursday at Bureau Veritas, in Longbridge Way, Uxbridge, but did not, and his white van was discovered by police in the borough over the weekend.

The Metropolitan Police Service confirmed today (Friday) at 8.30am that his whereabouts are still unknown and are appealing for anyone who has seen him to come forward.

AN APPLICATION for a major development in West Drayton has been submitted to Hillingdon Council.

P Win Developments Ltd have lodged a planning application for a mixed-use development consisting of 41 flats and a large retail unit in Station Road, West Drayton.

Copies of the plans can be picked up from the Civic Centre in Uxbridge, and residents have until the 4th March to inform the council of any objections.

SPEEDY pupils at Stockley Academy emerged victorious from a nail-bitingly close athletics competition.

The Academy in Park View Road, Yiewsley, hosted the latest round of the Borough Schools Indoor Athletics Competition last Wednesday (11/2), winning in the end by the narrowest of margins.

The competition was for year seven pupils, and events included relays, individual sprint and long distance running, long jump, triple jump and high jump.

Louise Du Plessis, sports teacher at Stockley Academy, said: "It went really well the children gave it their all, it was very competitive, and really tense."

The Stockley Academy team finished on 466 points, ahead of Vyners School pupils on 464, Uxbridge High on 463 and Harlington on 462.

The team now go through to the next round where they will compete against winners from elsewhere in the borough.

Appeal for missing white van man

POLICE are appealing for the whereabouts of another man who has gone missing from West Drayton.

Nigel Griffiths, 43, is of no fixed address but known to stay in the West Drayton area and works for Bureau Veritas in Longbridge Way, Cowley.

He took a holiday from work between last Monday and Wednesday but did not return to work as expected on Thursday and has not been seen since.

He drives a white Transit van belonging to the company he works for, which has since been located.

He is described as white, of slim build and is approximately five foot nine and has extensive tattooing on his arms.

Mr Griffiths is known to suffer from anxiety and depression and takes medication, although it is unclear whether he has his medication with him.

Albert Road man found safe and well

AN ALZHEIMER'S sufferer who went missing from West Drayton two days ago has been found safe and well.

James O'Tool, 59, who lives on Albert Road, was last seen in Warwick Road, West Drayton on Wednesday (11) but to the relief of his family he has been found in good health.

Concerns were growing Mr O'Tool's well-being in the cold weather conditions.

Mr O'Tool suffers from Epilepsy and Alzheimer's and was disappeared from outside his daughter's address in West Drayton, and police believed he was likely to be very confused without his medication.

POLICE are still searching for an Alzheimer's sufferer who has been missing two days.

James O'Tool, 59, from Albert Road, West Drayton, has been missing since yesterday (Wednesday) at 10am and concerns are growing for his well-being in the cold weather conditions.

Mr O'Tool suffers from Epilepsy and Alzheimer's and was last seen outside his daughter's address in Warwick Road, West Drayton, and is likely to be very confused as he has not been able to take his medication.

Police are searching for him but it is possible he may have travelled to Kilburn in North London as he has talked in the past about visiting the area where he has links.

He is described as white, five foot eight tall, short grey hair, slim build, and walks with a limp and has both wrists disfigured.

He has a prominent scar on his right eyebrow and was wearing black jeans, a beige jumper and brown work boots, and was not wearing a coat.

DC Nick Deakin said: "We are concerned for the welfare of James. His family wants to hear from him. The current cold weather conditions also make him particularly vulnerable. I ask that if anyone has seen him or has any information as to where he may be, to contact police as quickly as possible."
