Usain Bolt stays at Porters Way development

THE world's fastest man stayed in a penthouse in a popular apartment complex in West Drayton during his visit last month.

Usain Bolt, who recently clocked up a new 100 metre world record in Berlin, was at Brunel recently to give tips to aspiring sprinters, but needed a relaxing place to stay.

His management arranged for him and members of his team to stay at Parkwest, in Porters Way, West Drayton, and the development proved a popular choice.

Usain Bolt said: "While I was training in London recently, I stayed in one of the penthouses at Parkwest.

"The development was close to Heathrow airport which was convenient for flying to my competitions in Europe. Parkwest is in a great location, close to Brunel University."

Ian Dobie, Managing Director, St George West London, said "It is not every day a triple Olympic and World Champion is seen walking around one of our developments.

"It has been an absolute pleasure having Usain stay at Parkwest and we are thrilled he has been able to relax and unwind in the comfort of his own apartment, and then go out on the track and continue to break records.

"The site at Parkwest previously accommodated the male Olympic athletes in the London 1948 games and it is a huge honour to have a modern day Olympic hero stay here over 60 years later."
