Hotel to be built on Technicolor site

PROPOSALS have been lodged to build another huge hotel on the famous site where hit film the Jungle Book was reproduced in glorious Technicolor.

The 623 bedroom hotel would be built at 276 Bath Road, Sipson, where the Technicolor site used to stand before it was demolished earlier this year.

Technicolor, famous for film making which gave Hollywood a run for their money in the 1930s, relocated to Pinewood Studios in December last year.

Now the Bath Road site, which is currently vacant, is the subject of a large planning application which will be decided by Hillingdon Council.

The proposed hotel, will have a restaurant and bar, as well as parking for 354 cars, including 35 disabled spaces and 20 cycle spaces.

It would also be a mixture of six storey, five storey, and four storey buildings.
A public exhibition was held on the Technicolor site last September before it was demolished about potential uses for the site.

We'd like to hear from you.
