A 100 year old celebrated completing 10 decades in style with a party in his honour.

Behari Lal was honoured not just with a letter from the Queen for his 100th birthday, but a visit from the Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor Shirley Harper-O'Neill.

Mr Lal, of Bridge House in Humber Close, West Drayton, had his birthday on Thursday, with the party being held in the afternoon.

Fellow resident Betty Asher said: "He is very mobile and even though he does not speak much English he goes by himself to the shops every day which at his age is fantastic."

We'd like to hear from you.
