A PLANNED move of West Drayton post office will go ahead.

The office will move just 150 yards, from number 17 to number 43 Station Road.

Post Office spokesman Alan Ridoutt said: "We are confident that the new service is suitably located and will meet the needs of our customers in the local community.

"This move will secure post office services to the local community in the longer term.

"The same range of services will continue to be available.

"Customers can still collect benefits in cash, using our everyday banking services or Post Office card account."

Post Office bosses did consult on the changes but said they received only a small amount of comments.

The branch will close at its current location on February 22 at 1pm, and the new one will open on February 24 at 9am.

It will have level access and wide doors, making it easy for wheelchair users to visit.
There will be a low-level serving counter, space for a wheelchair and a hearing loop.

Pay and display parking is available in a lay-by nearby.

We'd like to hear from you.
