A ROYAL British Legion branch wants to set the record straight about its future, with false rumours spreading that Tesco had bought its land.
Staff at the West Drayton branch, in Station Road, say there has been a massive decline in numbers attending since hoardings went up and construction began on a Tesco Express store next door.

A THEATRE company in Yiewsley teamed up with local police to stage a play about bogus doorstep callers.
The Attic Theatre Company at the Cornerstone Centre in Yew Avenue on September 27 performed 'Ma Kelly's Doorstep', a play focussing on the issue of bogus callers and how to deal with them.
The Yiewsley safer neighbourhoods team (SNT) identified and invited local vulnerable persons and the elderly to see the play, while a crime prevention stall was manned at the venue by a local crime prevention officer.
A CHURCH has offered an olive branch to the jobless, by setting up support groups to share ideas of how to get back into work.
The groups would be held at St Matthew's Church in Yiewsley High Street.

Work to improve the 2nd West Drayton Scout Hut in Rowan Road, West Drayton received a boost when a paint company donated their materials.
